Just wanted to take a moment to post some photos of Ariel. We finally got some down time and decided to use it to go to the studio and take some photos. Wait a second… Anyway here they are. Don’t be afraid to leave comments about how beautiful she looks with her belly!!

As I look at pictures of my “baby” Ariel (when I left her for the first time as an infant, a sweet, quite elderly grandmother in an airport line reminded me that “once your baby, always your baby”) – it’s so amazing to realize that it wasn’t all that long ago. Now she’s a growing young woman, a talented and gifted artist/photographer, a dedicated partner, and will soon be a wonderful mother. So the generations of Mandeville, Wynne, and other branches of the family tree grows yet another branch – a tree that will see many generations of life as it continues its growth. It makes even more real the sense of responsibility to the seventh generation and for the stewardship that is expressed by many of the indigenous peoples for our home and mother earth.
It’s great to see photos of you, Ariel, whenever they get posted – I hope you will continue to document the changes in your family and life together. That as birth comes closer we will have the opportunity to glimpse the expectancy of a stretching belly; and after my grandson’s birth you will share many precious moments with your family and friends out here.ReplyCancel

Aww, Ariel you look so beautiful. Your mom showed these photos to everyone at my parent’s place the other night and we all agreed that you look amazing. I can’t wait to meet your baby boy! I saw the video of him kicking, so sweet. You guys are going to make great parents.

    I love you!

*Just an update on the registry… Matt and I have heard from a few different people that the Baby Universe site was not working properly so we’ve now removed our registry from them and added everything to the Baby’s R Us registry.* As it gets closer to the time that our little boy joins us in the world, Matt and I are beginning to do some preparation for this new addition to our lives. After getting a couple inquiries about a registry for baby gear we decided to go ahead and put one (or two) together.  We’ll continue to update as we think of more things ( idea’s are always welcome, especially from experienced mothers or fathers!). As we go through lists and lists of stuff that, according to different books “you’re supposed to have”… Differentiating between what the baby needs and what is merely around to make us… or you, spend more money is quite overwhelming.    So with that said… Here is the registry: BabyRus: http://www.toysrus.com/ Something we did not add that would be much appreciated are gift cards.  Thank you all for your support!    – Ariel & Matt

So…Ariel and I are proud to present our 20 week strong baby boy. This morning at 8 am we got to watch the little guy squirm around as the ultrasound technician poked and prodded at Ariel’s belly trying to get the best looks at the baby. They checked all his organs and we actually got to watch his tiny little heart beat. Fingers, toes, arms, legs, organs and even his tiny little skeleton were all viewed, measured and given the ok. I can’t begin to put into words the emotions we went through today. I’ll just leave you with the images that we got to bring home.
