Laurel Ridge Country Club in Waynesville was a beautiful setting for a mountain wedding with easy access to Asheville. This past weekend Matt and I had the pleasure of photographing Khristy and Andy’s wedding in Asheville. The day started out near downtown Asheville as Khristy got ready at a hotel with her beautiful bridesmaids… Andy spent the morning with his family, getting ready for his wedding in the same house that he grew up in. These two currently live in Boston (I know… it was a good mutual connection since we just moved to Asheville from the Boston area!) – but they both grew up in Asheville. In fact, their story is adorable – they actually went to the same high school together. They even shared a class together, but never spoke through any of their high school years. It wasn’t until their last year of undergraduate school where they shared yet another class together – this time at UNC Chapel Hill- that they started hanging out. The rest is history really… It is perfectly clear that these two are perfect for each other and they were all smiles throughout their wedding day.

Khristy and Andy – Thank you so much for having us there to capture your beautiful (hot) fall wedding! We started the day in Asheville with a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Basilica of St. Lawrence. I love this one of Khristy… Beautiful Khristy! The inside of the Basilica is simply stunning! How happy are these newlyweds?! I mean really…. After the Asheville wedding ceremony we jumped in cars and headed to beautiful Waynesville (about 30 minutes west of downtown Asheville) for Khristy and Andy’s reception at Laurel Ridge Country Club! Khristy and Andy’s reception details were beautiful! The purple and orange color scheme for the flowers were perfect for this fall wedding in the mountains! Haha, I love this one of Andy with his three sisters. Who said family photos had to be serious and boring…. The view from up on top of the mountain behind Laurel Ridge’s clubhouse was beautiful! We got to sneak Khristy and Andy out for a few minutes during dinner for pictures. This is one of my favorite times during the day… Love this one from our time with Khristy and Andy up on the mountain! This is probably my favorite couples portrait from the day! Khristy and Andy’s first dance was beautiful and you could tell they were having fun! I love this photo Matt captured on the lodge balcony at Laurel Ridge.
