A Colorful Summer Elopement in Homer, Alaska
Brittany and Lukas traveled to Homer, Alaska for three nights with a very different kind of wedding day in mind. They wanted something intimate and adventurous, to say their vows in the mountains or on a glacier and then enjoy an amazing meal somewhere private.
We built their all-inclusive Homer elopement around exactly that.
Their experience brought together three nights in Homer, hair and makeup, beautiful florals, photography, a helicopter adventure into the mountains and glaciers surrounding Kachemak Bay, and a private dinner cruise complete with their own private chef.
The result was a wedding day that was spent enjoying a huge variety of stunning Alaska scenery; from a first look at their Airbnb overlooking Kachemak bay, portraits on Bishop’s beach to flying in a helicopter across the bay to snow-covered mountains. These two enjoyed fields of summer wildflowers and brilliant blue glacier ice before boarding a beautiful boat & ending their evening on the water with dinner, champagne and the mountains stretched across the horizon.
Somehow, despite everything they experienced, the day never felt rushed.

Getting Ready Overlooking Kachemak Bay
Brittany and Lukas’s elopement morning started quietly at their Homer lodging, with beautiful views of the mountains across Kachemak Bay. Once they were both ready, Brittany & Lukas shared their first look on the front lawn before spending some time exploring Bishop’s Beach before we headed out on our helicopter adventure.
One of my favorite things about a Homer elopement is just how much variety exists. In a matter of hours, you can go from fields overflowing with fireweed, explore the rocky beaches and visit the adorable shops on the Homer Spit. Looking get up into to glaciers and mountains? Helicopter across the bay for an epic adventure across Kachemak Bay!
A Helicopter Elopement Across Kachemak Bay
Then it was time to trade civilization for the mountains across the water. We met our helicopter at Beluga Lake in Homer and lifted off, leaving town behind as we headed to find our first landing spot high up in the mountains.
The landscape changes incredibly quickly from the air. Vast ocean gives way to mountains, waterfalls, endless glaciers and snowfields — A helicopter gives us the freedom to experience places that would otherwise require days of backcountry travel.
Included in Brittany & Luka’s elopement package was a 4 hour helicopter adventure so that we had plenty of time to explore.

From Glacier Ice to a Private Dinner Cruise
Most wedding days would probably call it a night after landing a helicopter beside a glacier. Brittany and Lukas weren’t quite finished with their celebration. After flying back to Homer, we traded the helicopter for a boat and headed back onto Kachemak Bay for a private dinner cruise.
Inside, a table had been set just for the two of them, their flowers brought another burst of color into the cabin, and a private chef prepared dinner while we cruised through the bay. Outside, there were mountains, rocky islands, seabirds and even a sea otter floating nearby.

The Culinary Experience
Imagine a multi course meal with locally sourced produce & seafood cooked on board your own private boat for the night.
