Oh, you guys…. Matt and I have photographed at many amazing wedding venues over the years…The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek left us saying “WOW!!” The amazing combination of rustic beauty, elegance, and privacy the property offers is unparalleled. Tracy, the event manager for Vineyards at Betty’s Creek, gave us a tour of the property and we got to see inside the four stunning buildings that couples (and their wedding party/family) have access to when they book their event at VBC.
Set near the Great Smoky Mountains in the heart of Nantahala National Forest, The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek offers a quintessential (and luxurious) mountain wedding experience. During our tour Tracy shared with us so many amazing facts about the property and how it came to be. The property consists of hundreds of acres (I believe Tracy said over 600 acres) of land that have now been placed under conservation. There are hiking trails on the property for guests to explore. You can see a map of the property in the image above – the brighter green section on the lower map is the part of the property utilized for weddings.Everything else is beautiful mountainous conservation land. The Honeymoon Cottage at Betty’s Cellar is the home of the property’s original 1900’s wine cellar. The upstairs features a spacious loft area with a beautiful king-sized bed and luxurious ensuite bath with a giant clawfoot tub! Outside Betty’s Cellar is a beautiful stone patio where ceremonies can be held! The view from the Dunkard Barn Lodge is stunning as you look out over the onsite vineyard and surrounding mountains of Western North Carolina. This little building is one of the many original outbuildings on the property that make the perfect background for wedding party or bride and groom photos! This building is set right next to a stunning trout pond which is home to some of the healthiest looking trout I’ve seen! The Dunkard Barn Lodge hosts the main (and I might add – very luxurious) accommodations onsite for wedding party + families. Tracy shared with us how the barn was built originally in Pennsylvania. It was then moved in sections to North Carolina where it was reassembled on The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek Property. Set at the top of the vineyards and just a short walk from the main reception pavilion, it boasts stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains. The inside of the lodge is striking, featuring custom-built furniture made from reclaimed lumber. The lodge patio offers space for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours or simply a quiet place to gather with friends! The view from The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek Pavilion is stunning… don’t you think?!? If you’re looking for a place to host your luxurious mountain wedding in Western North Carolina, we highly recommend getting in touch with Tracy at Betty’s Creek to set up a tour of the property – Info@TheVineyardsatBettysCreek.com!
